Not About Butterflies Poem by Leslie Alexis

Not About Butterflies

They thought there were
Butterflies in their stomach,
But all along there were
Parasitic worms.

They went on the tingling
Thinking all was well;
Never made conscious inkling
Now they suffer through hell.

Finally, they split
After their hearts bled.
Mentally they did not commit,
So now, more butterflies they spread.
