Not Left To Fate Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Not Left To Fate

Even land has not remained holy
As some portion was not retained by an almighty
Had that steps being taken in advance?
Such situation should not have been arisen even by slight chance

Now we needed an army
To defend and protect wholly
The native land has to be protected
Any attack on it has to be acted

So armies are created
Its status has been elevated
Its sacred task is to defend land
And stand by population to act as friend

The army is for you
Never abuse soldiers through
Any means or disrespect
Allow them free hand to act

If we were good human
We needed no one
But since we have changed
The affair is not managed

Let us believe in standing army
They are defensive and brotherly
Let our borders remain quiet
We need to breathe peacefully and not left to fate
