Can’t you see what you’ve done to me
What does it take to be free
I can’t forget what you did to me
You don’t even acknowledge that I should care
It’s sometimes more than I’ll allow myself to bear
You think bringing things up about the past is a bore
But it’s my feelings that you should explore
How are you ever truly going to love me
When you don’t know what it is you’ve done?
My heart is no more openly given
It is earned like trust and respect!
