Oblivious Purity Poem by Zachary Gerbils

Oblivious Purity

Whilst the land lay sleeping softly
A storm lurked in the twilight
Poised and full of poison
It grinned and eyed its target

Bang, clang, rattle, clatter
It unleashed its evil venom
Waving its arms in fury
His red eyes on the victim

Confused, abused the nightfall broke and
Dawn saw gone the demons
Stripped, alone, cold and scared
The torment over though echos heaving

Oblivious to the pulsing fear
The darkness spawn about to wake
A droplet amidst the beaten woods
Sitting peacefully upon a leaf

As sunshine stirred its slumber
It took its first glance out on life
So full of warmth and color
Such youthful purity in its eyes

What a beautiful new beginning
Of a day, of a life, of a morn
Built on an act of violence
An innocent evil form is born
