Observe It To Know Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Observe It To Know

Observe it to know.
Those who do not live life to grow.
Slow that process for themselves.
With it to others to let it show.
And continues to go on,
As an unfortunate disconnect to witness.
And this ignorance that taints their lives.
Is placed to blame on others who tolerate.
A stupidity to pity but not to empathize.
With a sweetening to treat their minds and teeth.
To feed this childishness that keeps,
Depending upon false beliefs taught to teach...
Staying within limits has its benefits.
And children to remain never to grow.
Will not be held accountable or responsible.
For what adults should know.
But adults who do not grow,
Prevent the doing so...
To limit their children and theirs also,
From becoming responsible.
And accountable for actions they refuse to accuse,
Others to accept with disrespect to expect it.
