Ocean Stories Poem by J.M Berger

Ocean Stories

Hovering in the ocean as the waves crash against the bodies
Charlie tells Lucy you’ll drown if I pull out
It’s only a lie but it means so much
But it’s enough
But they’re in love

My man breasts sag in the wind
This isn’t the end, but it could be close
A beach brawl as the tide rushes in
It ought to be good, but it won’t
Here come the waves

The ocean is so cold
This place is getting old
It’s only a lie but it’ll do, it works

Seagulls fly overhead
An old man passed out on a long board
Perhaps, even dead
It wouldn’t affect the mood, or the pace

This is going to be loud
But then how could it not?
A miniature explosion in the palm of my hand
But hey, no worries
I’m just a guy who’s thirsty trying to open a Coke
I shout ‘Crackhead’ at a seagull
As I pelt the sand-filled Coke bottle at him
