Ode To John Mccornack Poem by John McCornack

Ode To John Mccornack

Now John McCornack is a great friend of mine
And when we're together I have a fun time.

In Washita County I'm sure he was born
Near a town called Cloud Chief on a bright sunny morn

With 4-H and farming his youth was well spent
And soon with his cows to the market he went

John loves the Red Dirt which he's never forgot
And now really wishes much more he had bought

A great education he received at O-State
And did rather well with Elaine as his mate

Now Shakespeare has told us 'All the world is a stage'
So John has created his worthy web-page

With his e-mails for all he does entertain
And with Marilyn's poems they're never the same

Windmills and barns John loves new and old
And with his Red Dirt they are really quite bold

Books on McCornacks he has written a few
But in the market with stocks he really has flew

Now with this page full of words I've tried to say
Hey, My Friend John, Now Have a Great Day

Best to John - Dr. John
