Oh My, Dazed Firefly Poem by Pedro Cescon

Oh My, Dazed Firefly

(to Yasmim - But this is long outdated. 'Then We Blend' is way way freshier)

You're funny, I assume,
You're cheerful, oh my,
Like if in amidst gloom
You're a dazed firefly,

Where are you going?
In such colorful mood,
In a very sweet flowing,
In an attire quite crude,

You make me smile,
As you twist and twirl,
Dressed in your chosen style,
Which only resembles a girl,

Hey, don't see you in awhile,
Hey, are you a few inches taller?
Your speech seemed worthwhile,
And your sassiness seemed smaller,

Hey, take care you,
Gotta travel for coming times,
Oh, please don't get so blue,
I'll write to you in rhymes,

And while long ways away,
I found that it made me laugh,
Remembering of that girl's sway,
As she played along her staff,

So good to visit old friends,
But I'm seeing someone quite new,
What? One being spoken in all trends,
Is that little girl that I knew?

And when you caught my eyes,
Once again you made me smile,
Your words gained apprise,
And you inspired in me some beguile,

You seemed to shine like a lighthouse,
And the fact I grew made me glad,
'Cause that was my only hope to arouse,
In you feelings that I found I had,

And you spent your time with me,
Denying attention for the crowd,
That seemed to like to be,
Among the ones you enshroud,

And my wish was different not,
I was the dazed firefly,
Was I infatuated or what?

... Oh, my!
