On Peanut Shells I Stand Poem by Keith Parsons

On Peanut Shells I Stand

On peanut shells I stand unimpressed
By the magic of this modern world
What with its 50-inch TV’s and such
I should squander what’s obsolete and
Buy new and improved
Artificially flavored cookies and
Already cut-up lettuce in a bag,
And wear fake hair and color
By beard so I can stand here eating
These peanuts and throwing the shells
On the floor-
I just cut my fingernails-
So I think I’ll just use my newly redesigned
Peanut openers and stand here eating peanuts

interesting perspective.....I agree completely! .....really makes you wonder....how could humanity have changed so drastically in the last century? .......have we completely fallen apart? .....well done! 10++
