On Tagore's Birthday Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

On Tagore's Birthday

I sent you on earth
With clear acceptance of death
You were to act as an emissary
For the welfare and cause of humanity

You were to sing
Inside ring
Of life’s circus
As rose and not as cactus

It had purpose
To suppose
And pose
As journey to choose

Life might have looked
Colorful and honored
Yet it beamed like sun
Despite long chase or run

We may celebrate and remember
But path is yet to be altered
As life was meant to be alone and lonely
Everything was possible with the blessings from an almighty

New flowers may blossom
The people may think with wisdom
It is real freedom
With liberty enjoyed seldom

On Tagore's Birthday
COMMENTS OF THE POEM

8 May,2015 TO: MR.Hashmukh Mehta You are really an instant poet! How could you compose such a wonderful poem so instantly! Even Tagore would admire it depicting essence of a good number of his poems/songs which are ringing in my my mind, but I've to scratch my head a lot to divulge those out of my mind, which I may try later possibly.
