One I Should Run Away From Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

One I Should Run Away From

If you want another like the other that you had,
I know I am not the one...
To keep you from a truth that's been done,
For fun.
Too serious am I to seek a fun,
That's done.
I am much too serious.

And if you think that people don't believe you are a fool,
You are too deluded...
And you think that I am stupid and dumb,
Not to see...
You will never be the one for me,
To see...
I see a true relationship.

I know now that you are...
One I should run away from.
You are...
One I should stay away from.
Yes you are...
Living just to want to have fun.

If you want another like the other that you had,
I know I am not the one...
To keep you from a truth that's been done,
Just for fun.
Since I'm much too serious,
And not the one who only wants fun...
Just for fun.
And doing nothing else to get done.
