One Last Gift Poem by Matthew Petranovich

One Last Gift

Love is similar to a rose,
It gets more beautiful,
The more is grows,
But with it comes thorns,
And barbs,
That can become,
A great pain in the heart,

To keep the beauty going,
You must withstand the pain,
Even though it may seem,
There is nothing to gain,

You can stay strong,
And try to hold on,
But if you let go,
I just wanted you to,
Know,
How much I wanted it to be,
Here's one last gift,
To you,
From me,
May it always be a
Memory.
