One Shut Then One Opened Poem by Vera Sidhwa

One Shut Then One Opened

The boys in the house,
Made a ruckuss,
Even for the poor mouse.
One boy shut his door,
And the next one opened it.

And so it went,
All through the house,
Where shut and open,
Became the trend.

But nobody knew what that meant.

Later on in life,
These boys received opportunities,
Then later receiver none.
So they learned that life would be,
Full of one door shutting,
Just for another opening.
