One Word Poem by James Timothy Jarrett

One Word

Rating: 5.0

Far from my mind

You came to visit me.

One word.

One moment.

Turned a thousand deeds

Whether real

Or imagined

Into nothing.

In one moment of missing you

I found that

I still cared.

One word

Was all that I heard.

This does work! Sitting there on the edges of our senses. A great translucent poem. Adeline

The repetition of the 'one word' is haunting here Jim - and we are carried into the realm of realisation, with you, of caring lots more than we thought - - through the 'one word'. Strongly put together in short lines but with punch in each one.
