Only To Leave Unseen Gone Who Knows Where Poem by Mark Heathcote

Only To Leave Unseen Gone Who Knows Where

Feel the truth cutting through the flames
The fire is leaping in the air
And through your veins
Life is a lightning bolt glowing everywhere
But seconds later, it can't be seen anywhere.

Oh, the truth is transient as an ocean wave
It returns over and over again
Only to leave unseen gone who knows where
But it is also soon forgot
Like a lover's fingers running through your hair.

Whence, once your hearts were like a platted loaf
binding two souls with-a-sailor's-Fisherman's knot.
