Only Trust Knows Poem by Midifo Yearns

Can we ever know the deeper things
that life, through struggle, clearly brings?

By ‘know’ I mean to understand
and penetrate the music played by silent band
where notes and melodies are felt not heard
when hearts are moved to fly like eager bird
and soar on high, to claim the simple things
that faithful love, to life’s agenda, always brings?

Of course we can, indeed we must
and in the end it remains a deed of trust.
