Onwards In Life Poem by Jonathan Goldman a.k.a JGthepoet

Onwards In Life

A Fellow Poet has asked of me
Why I’ve not written for weeks,
My Mind is blank, no thoughts are there,
However hard I seek.

My pen now poised, my pad on knee,
I train my Mind again,
To think in Rhyme and Scan once more,
To produce verses mild and meek.

The power of words from HIM above
Do not flow into my brain,
I know HE is looking out for me,
As HE does daily ~ week to week.

Themes, Ideas, Sights and Sounds,
Are still part of my Life,
But this musty heatwave encompasses me,
And the words don’t come out right.

I seek clarity and ways ahead,
As onwards in Life I go,
To fulfil HIS Words and Wishes for me,
In all that I do do.
