Opportunity Poem by Danny Banks

Opportunity

Why spend time in the valley when there are so many mountains to climb?

It's a hard climb to the summit
But treasure awaits
You can't even hold
Worth more than gold
Lighter, but on a weightier scale

Though there is safety in the low spots
Familiarity
Mud and silt clog the view
Blocking new possibilities
On the higher ground

If your path should somehow lead down the valley
Avoid the mire
Head for clear water
Ride it until it spills in the sea of
Opportunity
