Our Beautiful Surroundings Poem by Briana Renn

Our Beautiful Surroundings

Rating: 4.5

Tree branches sway oh so slightly
Sweet flowers lazily drift on the light breeze
Immense emerald hills way off in the distance
Stunning jade grass bends in the wind
Birds soar way up in the bright cobalt sky
Young spring flowers vividly blossom
Butterflies glide gracefully through the air
Squirrels scampering up the trees
Water dashes smoothly over rocks in the brook
High up in the trees, birds sing gorgeous melodies
Sounds of the babbling brook gracefully traveling through the land
Tree foliage rustles as the zephyr flows through it
Grass gently tickles my body
Velvety soil and wild grass between my toes
Water from the brook cools my feet and legs
My hair gently blown by the breeze
My body warms from the bright spring sun
Scents of honeysuckle in the air
Grass smelling clean and pure after a spring rain
Hints of lilac float on the breeze
Moss growing on trees smell of pleasant mustiness

Wow. Extreme usage of imagery. I don't often see this; I commend you. You're a fantastic poetess, so grace us all with your poetic voice.

Funny how you would say your inspiration was boredom but In reality, you felt a sudden desire to put those vivid words in this site. Well written, very expressive, nature is my first view of the poem. A very visual poem, like it. Good job. Don't forget to post often, and keep it up.
