Our Craft (Haiku) Poem by Stevie Taite

Our Craft (Haiku)

Rating: 5.0

Eloquently done
Your form you shape with chisel
Chisel of the mind

My eyes caress it
Feel filed contours of stanza
Such pleasing artwork

Bag of ideas put to work
New shapes will take form
today

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I had a full on poem of metaphors connecting different forms of art and poetry. But they slipped away in the night! Sometimes sleep is more important. This Haiku is all that remains of my ideas!

Oh. I need to research this form then... I can always edit this one if my sleepy ideas decide to return. The one I was writing in my head when I was too sleepy to move was rhyming and everything, not originally destined to be a haiku. But sadly it passed away: '0(
