Our Strength Poem by Mcanthony Nwatu

Our Strength

No more no less
questions but believe,
mumbling but bliss,
pride but serve.
a cross for a crown.

nothing goes for nothing
tongue for taste
kingdom for king
quote for note
voice for sing.
a cross for a crown

so it is

the strength, our strength
to serve our service
to sail the ship, our faith
forward as a fleet.
for so perishable is our youth
an age of fragile incompetence.
before the sun steals our youth.
harken o! skirts and trousers
lets gear with grace the the saint's faith.
