Out Into The Sunshine Poem by Holly Jamestone

Out Into The Sunshine

Rating: 5.0

Simply let go and let it break into a million pieces if need be
It may be only a thousand pieces and seem like many more
Sit next to it, kneel beside it, sweep the shrapnel into your apron
Carefully holding the pieces next to your heart as you sit by the fire

Relive each breach and the messages therefrom as the tears flood your neck
Cry at the top of your lungs until you get the hiccups or your eyes bulge
And gently notice that the stack of regrets are no longer piled in the rafters
As flowing drapes from the now open window carry lessons learned
