Outside Of The Hive Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Outside Of The Hive

Fireflies in the night-time...
Light your eyes.
I am like an owl aroused,
By oodles of full moonlight.
And I can't be a little hiving bee,
Home alone...
With just a taste for honey buns.
You've got me buzzin' with a hummin' done.
I don't want to ovecome...
Outside of the hive!
