Over 130,000 Americans Died As Of Today Due To Covid-19

Today May 27,2020 is not a great date
Today is not a fantastic day to celebrate
Over 130,000 Americans died in less than 6 months due to COVID-19
We are extremely sad, upset and in quarantine
The pain is real, the grief is unnatural and the death
Is absolutely untimely. This is crazy to witness a theft
A theft of a close friend's life, thefts of many more friends
Cousins, brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers and grandparents
Who died before their time, yet, we cannot hold their hands
They died in isolation, on the floors of many hospitals and tents
This is a shame that every day we're bombarded with lies
Bad, fake news and deceits. Too much pain, too many cries
We are tired of these corrupt politicians who behave like fools
Like crazy fools. We are sick of the ones who follow no darn rules
We are tired of seeing too many body bags, to many sad funerals
Too many wooden coffins, too many make sick people in the halls
In the corridors and in the hallways. We are sick, hurt and tired
Today is not a day to celebrate. We are unhappy, sad and mad
Let us pray for the health and the essential workers who strive
Each day for better days and for All American citizens who thrive
To survive after so many sacrifices. Let us pray for America again
Let's pray for hope, good health and success again. We are ONE
Let us defeat lies, racism, nepotism, ignorance and arrogance
Today is unforgettable, a day of infamy and great importance.
