Overcome Poem by Manonton Dalan

Overcome

grass overwhelm every corner
thick, compact, unwanted plants
choking every small tree, death
snow did less to control, suppress
where were mowers, grass cutters
they were defunded and forgotten

my friend fox nowhere to be found
her den is all covered with thick vine
trees dying with salt water intrusion
geese left few winters that passed
blue berries still naked for season
cats relocated to a place unknown
