Overcoming - Satan Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Overcoming - Satan

There is no indication
anywhere in the
Scriptures that
Jesus was afraid
to suffer and die.

He was not trying
to avoid the Cross.

Jesus was
overcoming
Satan.

Once this was
accomplished
and the way to
the Cross was clear,
Jesus was as
serene as anyone
you can imagine.

Nailed to cross blood dripped from his hands chest, legs, feet. Jesus cried: O my dear father in heaven! Why me, why me, as he died. No, he did not. The sky thundered and the blinding dust storms uprooted the cross, Mary Magdalene and bystanders freed Jesus from the cross. And later, he moved to Kashmir secretly (where he had been in his youth with his cousin John) And lived there for long peacefully.
