Painful Bliss Poem by Izik Alcox

Painful Bliss

Rating: 5.0

seemingly caged within a seed of thought
waiting to bloom from this mere dot
slowly unleashed I grow more and more
stumbling blindly looking for the door
forever climbing this mountain's path
bombarded by time's harsh wrath
alone I lay here at night
wishing it could feel just right
safety is gone and the sun has burnt out
but I must continue on this bumpy route
to forgive is to suffer, well some would say
but magnanimously I still love you to this day
you may no longer be my bright sun ray
but in my heart your smile will forever stay
if time heals all whats taking so long
maybe it doesn't I could be wrong
I must be patient with the trials of time
life's what you make it, a lovely wood chime
