Painting nudes is sometimes an excuse
to make a girlfriend take her clothes off for you;
for poets like me such forms of abuse
aren’t rationales. I prove that I adore you
by writing of you when you’re birthday suited,
not to induce you to remove your panties,
but to persuade you you won’t be polluted
if, naked woman, you enjoy my man tease.
