Papa, One Year. Poem by Ashley Morrison

Papa, One Year.

It's been the longest, most toughest year.
Not having you close, not having you near.
I miss your silly jokes, that smile you could always put on my face.
But now i know that you my friend, are in a better place.
I miss our tractor rides, or watching an old television show.
Or whenever i would look up, how my papa you would glow.
You are my inspiration, to try with all of my might.
I just wish your glow, didn't go out of sight.
I wish God didn' take you away from me, or anybody else.
The moment I heard you were gone, there were so many emotions I had felt.
Hurt, confused, sad, and betrayed.
I wish it was me that was gone, for than you could've stayed.
