Paradise Closed - ‘under Repairs'

Rating: 5.0

God was terrified to witness an EXHIBITION
Sprawling pavilions, plaster of Paris magic designs
Look - real monuments, fast-chain manoranjans
Massive lighting scheme, dancing ark light, wetting illuminations

God was moving slowly from stall to stall
With his mouth wide open in total disbelief
Costly exhibits, crazy crowds jamming all around
Money was poured out just like a fountain head

‘Desire is the cause for all worries' is Bhddha's dogma
Simplicity and charity are every faith's dharma
God was thirsty and had a Pepsi at triple the price
Up in the merry round, someone shouted into empty sky
'so called God, come & enjoy the ride'

He paused and stepped into an unusual tent
missing children were waiting for their parents to turn around
No signs of anxiety for the parents nor the children
Children were busy in video screens, with destructive games

God walked out with a heavy heart and is in deep sorrow
For no one would like his Paradise up above
That too a plain, dull, silent and ancient mansion
Untouched, without any modernization for centuries

God has decided to float a Global Tender for its massive renovation
……quite acceptable to the ordinary masses,
as per their present day requisites - if at all
they are to enter the corridors of PARADISE.

Gentle humour will make even God to smile. As God has seen the improvement in technology in the Earth, he will arrange to prepone the ultimate date of departure of the expert engineers, masons, carpenters, painters and decorators and take them to His abode. Very nice. *****
