Paranoia Has Arrived Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Paranoia Has Arrived

The dictates of proper etiquette and taste,
Has narrowed to appease...
A few in positions who decide what they like,
To dismiss what they perceive to be offensive.

Paranoia has arrived to achieve censorship.
As if in the doing this keeps minds limited.
And yet the rise of confusion and mental conflicts,
Will stay without diminishing a reality that exists.

Poets, writers and those who chose to acknowledge truth,
Become threats everyday to the ones with their druthers...
To have delusions increased as truth is reduced.
With it becoming more effective to fear and accept it!

To drone or not to drone.
To peep, snoop and sneak,
Has become part of life no longer fantasized...
Paranoia has arrived and not in masquerade to disguise.
