Parenting Is Musical String Poem by U Win Kyi

Parenting Is Musical String

A 12-year old girl
looked so mature
As her father was a strict disciplinarian
Away from home she ran.
She then worked in a night club,
to accompany the man of lust
to drink wine glass after glass
until she had to throw up.

A junior high school girl
with bad friends she mingled.
She came home late in the night,
and involved in street fight.
By her father she was admonished.
She felt that she didn't want to live.
From the balcony she then jumped.
Her head hit the pavement with a big bump.

Parenting a rebellious teen
is like adjusting the musical string.
It breaks under great tension,
It produces no music if too loosening.
