Past Poem by Ragy Sandid

Past

It's hard to imagine
One day it was the present
It's hard to imagine
One day it was a present

We unwrapped it too soon
Not knowing what time does
Our only flaw is being human
The only flaw that is and was

It's hard to believe
We thought time was for sale
When we buy we leave
Ignorant that time will prevail
We have a picture in mind
It is the sure corners of vision
A bright burning future we find
And know it is our decision

The time of now paints new strokes
And soon we admit now is better
Soon after we look through cracks
We know it's as light as a feather
