Peace Of Mind Poem by Christina Simmons

Peace Of Mind

Rating: 3.8

Interpret my quietness as a form of stupidity
So therefore should be treated likewise - a dimwit
A loony not to be taken seriously - seen as a laugh!
Let me share with you, it is going into my own
We have one thing in common; colouring is the same

Our outlook is different, don't think alike
Within is a depth of knowledge pre-recorded
What I've been through and seen - scenes you could
not imagine; yet still I remain silent

When in the mood for information, approach with
a friendly smile, faces lit up! Asking lots of questions
very inquisitive, probing for juicy details, but behind
the persona lies deceit, not to be trusted, I've experience

treachery before - it will not happen again, I will not
invite it; I'm very weary to your true intentions
Ears and eyes are sharp - isn't prepare to allow you
to take me for a mug

Image you worship is a white Jesus Christ? Do you
know what your God looks like? Leaves life in utter confusion
Hoping to get salvation; in constant battle with inner truth
Boost ego by preaching words of the bible; don't practice
what you read: you're purely insane.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Bring to the awareness of the dirty tricks we play to achieved our goals; Or want some kind of information. from an unsuspected victim whom we see as a pushover. Dedicated to a carer a religious fanatic and social worker whom I was finding hard to trust not realising she was sent to me to help me out of a rot.
