Peace Prizes Not Enough Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Peace Prizes Not Enough

Peace prizes not enough

I am sorry to state
about cruel and shameful fate
Two great countries of noble prize winner
Are at undeclared war

Thousands have migrated
The property has been destroyed
Indiscriminate firing is on
One wonders were the humanity has gone?

Leave people to live with peace
Keep moratorium to live at ease
Where is need for shelling?
When people are dying?

The land shall not belong to anyone
No country shall forgo under duress even
Both are nuclear powered nations
Take lesson from Japan's destruction

If some mad adventure is taken
Make it sure
Of digging burial ground
That shall never be found

Adopt population of each side
Provide them facilities country wide
Treat them as honorable citizens
Win over their heart and make friends

Mohan Lohani The Prize Winners should be able to bring peace to their respective warring countries. Let them inspire Modi and Sharif to shake hands and stop the war now going on for the sake of peace. 2 hrs · Unlike · 1
