I had you at the height of your poem.
Green thundered in the silence of itself.
I think our moment had its perfect storm,
Though it existed in a shadow tune.
A feeling older than Methuselah
Brings back your Slavic mood with every spring.
I treasure April as I would a Psalm.
Distance, my friend, is rare and ripe for praise.

i really love this poem sandra. there is always so much to look forward in your poem. every verse intrigues.. and leads on. thanks for this.
Though every line is a gem, I love the last line: 'Distance, my friend, is rare and ripe for praise.' In addition to the sense of the nostalgia the poem evokes, this line speaks volumes. Warm regards and take care...
The poem thundered into the hearts of mine.Eight lines with a seer vision captures the vivid aspects of emotions idealising the reality.Excellent work....

I treasure April as I would a psalm- this one line says all that you felt for your friend Sandra. you say it with such reverence, and the beauty is that you call the poem Perfect Storm. how peace and quiet descends after a storm has blown away... April in your part of the world heralds spring, such contrasting images all in eight lines as always a pleasure to read Affectionate Regards Mamta

In this poem the line: 'I treasure April as I would a Psalm' is for me the electric line and moment. It is always good to know it is not only Jesus who finds the Psalms foundational. Bill Grace
