Perpetuity Poem by Sucheta Sarwan

Perpetuity

Growing up, you were always around.
You take the human form of my conscience,
You hold me when I cry over heart breaks and failures,
Surprisingly, you have been there for me, more than I ever could imagine.
You are the silent call to an immediate redemption.
Its complex how I Looked at flaws before and now look at the things you do for me.
You turn a cynic into a believer.
Somehow you make me believe there is good out there, somewhere.
You come upon with beauty and grace,
Representing calm and everything pure.
It's complex how something so pure can be surpressed with loud words,
Bringing back the optimist, I believe you are meant for greater things and I eagerly wait for when you rise like the phoenix.
Rising victoriously from the ashes, instilling hope again.
You bring the unapologetic uniqueness,
You walk as if you grew up with beasts that make people tremble,
You represent that tomfoolery is accepted,
If you dont fall, you wont learn how to get up,
Your vivacity charrms everyone.
You represent strength with poise sprinkled with grace to intimidate.
In your beauty, you represent life.
All conscience, purity and strength.
