Physically Speaking Poem by Jim Boone

Physically Speaking

Each time I see you
My eyes begin to race
Around and over your body
Embracing your beautiful face.

My heart pumps the blood faster
Causing each nerve to tingle
Noticing I am aroused
You smile, move on
And continue to mingle.

You pass unaware of my glances
As my eyes move with you
While you approach first one
Then another, making your
Plays and advances.

Our eyes meet
We touch and smile
Then go to your place or mine
Where, physically speaking,
We explore our emotions
For a night or awhile.

It's not necessary
To mention names
The way they do when a call
From the health department
Comes through
[Been with, done that]
You know who you are.

You're anyone who turns me on
We meet every day
As we pass on the street
Cruise in a bar
Run into a tree while jogging
Feel a need while shopping
Connect at work or at play.

Although we enjoy times together
They seldom happen again
For, physically speaking
When lusting and passion are spent
There isn't much left to say. 1969
