Pitter Patter Thud Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Pitter Patter Thud

Moist on glass
A handprint stays
The clouds beckon
For some rays
Dampened shoes
And tired umbrellas
Decorate the streets
The flickering lamp posts
Cast shadows
On the curbs, cars
And bowing passers-by
The sun sleeps for now
How the dark clouds smile
I tuck myself in
My jacket is warm
Hello Sunday rain
We meet again
