Please Poem by Jennifer Sollmann

Please

Isolate me please
I beg of you
Erase from your mind my existence
Shrouded in my memories
No one sees me
My anguish
I wear like a crown
I’m prideful of being forlorn
My willful fate is to be alone
The pain I cause
Is simply too much
I must isolate myself
Sever my ties with the world
Forget me please
Whispers of torment
From a tornado around me
My feet can only run so fast
I fail to escape your words
Let me be alone I plead
In the end
It’s better for you
For all of you
Slowly fade to black
My memory
Shades of gray I’ll always be
A picture with my face cut out
Leave me be in my misery
Please don’t over look me
