Please Don'T Use The Word...'Love' Poem by wild fire

It's too official and I don't live by standards,
It was going fine until you used that word.
We were having fun and we were smiling,
but that all stopped when I heard...

I love you and It's not just you.
I love everything about you and your faults.
And when I say love don't be afraid
but now its all ruined with a sudden halt.

Why is the word so scary you ask?
Well it needn't be any of your concern
It is if I love...admire you, you call
I sigh, you have much to learn

That word is a strong one and what do you know?
A boy of seventeen you nor I know what it is.
It is an evil thing, this love you speak of.
It makes people angry just like this.

It ruins everything, for sex and marriage are to follow
Don't say love, because you'll get attached to me
And I for one am not the kind to get attached now
i'm just living by today and can not give my heart freely.

When you can show me that you'll be the most stable thing
and through the years stay as everyone comes and goes
then maybe, just maybe i might give consideration
I might let you say it, maybe I'll say it in return, who knows?
