To be unfair expect anything you may gain
To be only yourself and forget other's pain
It's really unfair
To sleep at night with a full stomach
Forgetting to send the remains of your food tray
To sleep on your plushy bed
When many homeless has no place to stay
Considered positions can change
So does something before it be so late.
Thanks for the great poet Eric Cockrell.'On whom'.
There is a true picture of Haves and Have nots' is established so logically. Friend I love this theme to be knbown by everybody so that equality can be established.
I agree with Eric...love hoe you have juxtaposed between those who have nothing and those who have...nice warning at the end...sad but true. issue that needs addressing. -SG
The essence of these sentiments I have for decades now accepted to be 'My brother (sister) hurts I share their pain I meet God in them.' and 'We can best judge the character of a man (or woman) by how they treat those who can do nothing for them.' God bless all who give and care about the suffering of their fellow humanity. Amen.
you speak of the awareness that we all must have.... the resposibility that we share for each other, for we are but a part of each other. injustice to one is injustice to all! very good poem!
