Plight Of Man Poem by Ed Homer

Plight Of Man

Darkened corridors of blight
Soothingly comfort the mind
Lavish streams of iridescence
Strangling our independence

Horrors of the days grows
A new phase now unfolds
The sewage of the common land
Over flows the common man

Light blocked from appearing
Life crawls at a stand still
While those who enslave our souls
Do it until they get their fill

Never again shall liberty sound
Never again will freedom be found
The strangulation of freedoms
Will never become unwound

The new world order enslaves us all
America is doomed to fall
Saviors rush to stop the pain
It is too late I am afraid

Age has thankfully encompassed me
For I hope I won't live to see
What this land has now become
Destroy the American dream

I gave my life and time for nothing
I live only to be called a burden
They forget when I was there
When those times were uncertain

My only regret are those of my decent
Who must navigate this mess
I won't be there to help them
In their times of distress

Mine and many spirits before me
Will try to watch over this land
And maybe there will be a judgement
To rectify this plight of man

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My personal feelings, I was there when Martin Luther was killedI saw it on television, I was there when Kennedy was killed, I was attending class in gradec school, I was there when the riots happened, I lived through the 1960's until now, You can only speculate And take someones words for truth, Someone who read a book or watch some documentart written by prejudiced authors who's only interest was to be biased, You know nothing, You never will, Except what you are told like good little parrots and robots, For I have touch the sky that no longer exists, You can only wonder and make up stories.

We are really going through a very tough time. War is expected at any time in every corners of the world. Doomsday is not far. Nicely inked. Thanks.
