Poem Poem by Dorsey Baker

Poem

they gather around you
trying to find
your secrets hidden
your fruits forbidden
they gather
around you
trying to
mock you
trying to
knock you
out
with just one punch
they are speaking
their angry voices
can be heard
above the sound of their screams
but still they offer to
take you out to lunch
they cover their ears
they cover
their eyes
the truth has spoken
and it has been proven
to be sound
the moon drips
with blood
the wilderness starts
to weep and mother nature
she cries
