Poems Are Made For Beautiful Things

POEMS ARE MADE FOR BEAUTIFUL THINGS

(Written for the Ilui Neshamah of Rabbi Gabriel and Rivka Holtzberg who were murdered in the Chabad House in Mumbai November 2008)

Poems are made for beautiful things-
Not for murder and for terror -
Not for cruel sudden deaths-
Not for hatred which kills without question-
And justifies itself,
By some absolute inhumane ideal.

Poems are made for life
Not Death-
We Jews want to live,
And they the Suicide- bomber- people,
to Murder their way to Eternity.
