Power Arrogance Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

“You are the only country”
That shall be on our trajectory
We shall not hesitate to sue atomic weapons
You shall be reduced to bubbles

The threat was delivered by army chief
That made their intention very clear and briefed
The media was quick enough to pick up the thread
Its tremor was felt all over the world

How foolish can be such utterances?
Think about such weapons falling in the hands of terrorists?
What can be fate of another country?
If such thing turns into reality

The world is watching helplessly
As many countries have helped clandestinely
To build the atomic weapons and provided know how
Now the same country has flouted international norms

When both the countries are spending enormous amount
The poverty and other things are not taken into account
Both the countries are living below poverty line
But power arrogance and atom bombs have blinded them
