Pray Ceaselessly Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Pray Ceaselessly

Rating: 5.0

She had promised
To come at night fully dressed
Like bride after marriage
As I was feeling thrill with an age

I used to dream in day time
I shall stare at ceiling sometimes
Then down on floor
And wait eagerly at door

Such was her impact
I wanted her to act
With speed and so fast
Great pomp and show with trust

But it was not going to happen today
There were still many months to go away
I was counting on fingers
Such was an unbearable hunger

Little air touched my body
And reminded me of somebody
I was thinking of her arrival
Only to find thought’s dismissal

Yes it is stage
That comes with the age
When you long somebody’s company
And pray ceaselessly to almighty

Love not gotten Christina GrayLess than a minute ago Although I feel the author was waiting for a woman's company, there is so much more in here. Like waiting for something in general that you want but it doesn't come when you think it should. Comment +1 she promised to come to him and he grew eager and anxious for her
