Psalm 118. Thanksgiving for Victory

“In my distress, I prayed to the Lord and he answered me and renewed me.

He is for me.

How can I be afraid?

What can mere man do to me?

The Lord is on my side, he will help me.

Let those who hate me beware.”

Dear God,

My heart is not troubled because I trust in you.

I have known you, for you have always been with me.

I have asked you for many things,
and you have answered my call.

You have blessed me a hundredfold.

In my bidding, you said “ No.”

In some, you said, “Yes! ”

You gave me surprises.

I understand you, dear Father.

You know the best for me.

You love me so much, and I love you, too.
That is all that matters.

Keep us in your heart forever.
Keep me in your heart forever.

Let us rejoice and be glad!
