Prey And Predator. Poem by Hailey Marie

He sits stirring his coffee in the cafe,
looking all cool in a leather jacket with black shades to match.
He surveys the room, his eyes resting on a pretty blonde in a skirt,
undressing her in his head under the safety of his glasses.
Looking at the clock its a quarter to ten.
He watches her leave and gets up following her but staying behind,
The poor girl doesn't even notice as he pulls out a knife
ready for alittle fun before he ends her life, a stranger who he doesn't know.
She walks into the woods her apartments on the end,
but she'll be lucky if she sees her bed again.
Please girl, watch your back
that lonely man is about to attack
he won't feel bad at all, he'll make sure they won't find your body till fall
please girl, notice him soon
or his blade will be your doom
She jumps as she hears him step on a branch, she starts to walk alittle faster
he speeds up and as she starts to scream,
he catches her, holding a hand over her mouth a knife to her throat
telling her lies about how if she does as he says that she'll live to see another day
he tells her he won't hurt her that he just wants to play as she quivers and starts to cry
She closes her eyes hoping its a dream, as his knife starts cutting through the seams of her shirt
he throws her down face first but stays glued to her, pushing her face into the dirt
she weaps as his hand starts to grope her, the knife on her throat scares her into silence
the sound of a zipper makes her squirm, an unwanted invader into unexplored places
she fades it out, crying into the dirt, hoping it'll be over soon.
Oh girl, Hold on tight
It'll all be over soon
but it won't be fine afterwards, its not a cartoon
Oh girl, keep up your hopes
someone will find you, you can hear cars
they'll catch him, put him behind bars
As he finishes up, he pulls his pants on
the perfect time for her to run, but instead she whimpers on the ground
he sighs, cutting her throat quickly, his hand smothering her screams
he disposes of her body in a nearby stream, and leaves to another place
where he can find another girl, another one to call his prey.
