Promise Poem by christopher veremu

Promise

As I joyously this hallowed ground transcend
Guided by fore fathers carrying spinning earth
Most glorified exalted of all known sacred
My body celebrates in silence best of change
Escaping all that is mortal known elsewhere
In written scripture and literature as the world
Can not wait for glorious moment I to air return
Breaking free shackles of ugly sin and death
This day today of my free will I this pact make
Strive with all left of me for heavenwards stake
Now bid farewell to all sin renewed a joyful man
Having the very best of good lesson well learnt
In harsh wind my soul naked lost potent flame
In God's shadow shine I supreme ever brilliant
Glow star bright aided by mercy's silvery lantern
Jorneying deeper underground to rise unafraid
Made I better for it being one with grateful dead
Lost twice abandoned truly God's child I became
His known grace right royal wiped clean ugly slate
Closing curtain on ugly pain so open boundless health
All needed is repentance with forgiving stroke rebirth!
